I bought this neck a part of a project to hot rod my MIM jazz bass. The finish is fully satin, smoother than the original neck which feels nice. Pau Ferro fingerboard looks smooth and feels nice to the touch. The fret lines are perfectly installed. The nut requires some work, filing the string notches, but this is a minor task. Price was good.

Very pleased with quality and feel of this neck, After 46 years of playing I am now allergic to nickel so have been forced into re evaluating my gear and have chosen flat-wound strings on fretless necks as my way forward. This neck was a perfect fit/replacement, I just have to learn to play fretless now
