At the amplifier, the traditional split coil delivers fat sounds for blues, funk and rock. Hardware in timeless and functional vintage style completes the 4-string electric bass.
The Fender Standard Precision Bass convinces with classic looks and sounds.
Fender Standard Precision Bass with classic construction
When designing the Fender Standard Precision Bass, Fender has relied on the classic design that has been tried and tested since 1951. Accordingly, the four-string has an alder body connected to the maple neck by four screws. This is held in the comfortable "Modern C" profile and carries a fingerboard made of Pau Ferro, i.e. Brazilian ironwood, which is an ideal fingerboard wood due to its first-class sound characteristics and high hardness.
Classic split coil for powerful bass sounds
The pickup used on the Fender Standard Precision Bass Pau Ferro Fretboard Lake Placid Blue is a classic Fender Standard Split Coil in the middle position. With its distinctive sound, which combines a stable bass foundation with growling mids and a velvety spectrum of highs and thus delivers powerful grooves for blues, rock or funk. The pickup is controlled by a volume and a tone control, which can be used to call up multi-faceted tones.
Durable hardware in vintage style
The Fender Standard Precision Bass is completed by a classic hardware equipment, which is characterized by indestructible functionality. On the body is the classic Fender bass bridge with four string riders, which allows a perfect adjustment of intonation and position for each string. From here, the strings are guided with the traditional 34" (864 mm) long scale towards the headstock, with Fender vintage style tuners for a precise and stable tuning.
