The carefully revised design of the Aerodyne Special Jazz Bass combines the familiar J-Bass look with modern playing characteristics. The offset body made of basswood lies particularly stable on the body due to the belly cut on the back and the taper of the sides. At the same time, thanks to the "Modern C" profile with 38 mm nut width and 12" fingerboard radius (305 mm), the bolt-on maple neck offers unhindered playability in all positions, so that even complex runs and grooves can be realized with ease.
Fender Aerodyne Special Single Coils with traditional passive circuitry deliver diverse bass sounds. The solid construction of the Babicz bridge supports the strong sound character of the electric bass.

Carefully tuned, the bass pickups installed in bridge and middle position deliver particularly versatile all-round sounds that combine traditional Fender tones with a modern transparency. In addition to separate volume controls that allow infinitely variable mixing of both pickups, the usual passive electrics have a treble control to adjust the timbre.
On the headstock of the Aerodyne Special Jazz Bass, open-gear tuners guarantee accurate and stable tuning.
