Classic Tele Construction: The American Performer Telecaster has an alder body and a bolt-on maple neck.
Traditional Tele with comfortable neck
For the typical Telecaster feeling Fender relies for the Limited Edition American Performer Tele naturally on the since the Fifties proven construction with a slab body made of alder and a bolt-on, one-piece maple neck. The pleasantly slim "Modern C" neck profile with a modern 9.5" fretboard radius (241 mm) promises comfortable playing characteristics.
Fender Yosemite single coil pickups and Greasebucket tone circuit promise characteristic twang sounds.
Yosemite Single Coils with Greasebucket Circuit
Two Fender Yosemite Telecaster single coil pickups handle the electric tone conversion of the American Performer Telecaster MN Butterscotch Blonde. Equipped with coils of traditional Formvar wire and specially tuned Alnico mixtures, the pickups deliver that signature twangy sound with just the right amount of bite and lively dynamics to bring any riff or solo between country, jazz and rock to life. The traditional 3-way circuit also features the Fender Greasebucket tone circuit, which delivers darker tones by simultaneously cutting treble and bass without sacrificing definition.
Fender ClassicGear tuners with precise 18:1 ratio promise accurate tuning with high stability.
First-class hardware equipment
The bridge on the Limited Edition American Performer Telecaster MN Butterscotch Blonde naturally is a string-through-body hardtail, which, with the strings routed through the body and the brass tailpieces, contributes significantly to the crisp sound of the electric guitar. The Fender ClassicGear tuners also combine traditional Vintage-Looks with a modern 18:1 ratio, so that the electric guitar always delivers an exact and stable tuning.
Great iconic guitar. Although the entry level USA made Telecaster. It compares well to more expensive teles. In fact I personally prefer the satin fingerboard to the gloss urethane finish on the American Professional. Typical tele tones. Great playability. Good delivery time considering it was shipped from Germany and unless I missed one the best price I could find for this particular model.

This guitar is okay, but one could expect more from a US-made guitar. Fender's "cheaper" Mexican instruments seem to have reached a comparable if not higher level of workmanship. If you also consider that these US guitars come without a hard case and with essentially the same hardware as their Mexican counterparts, why pay more for the products from Corona? My particular guitar came in partially non-original packaging and without some important accessories despite having been "thoroughly checked" by the Musicstore's team (according to the label on the box). I hope the store will sort this out for me. So beware when you get your order and make sure all is included.
