Traditional construction with subtle modernizations
In constructing the Limited Edition '68 Pink Paisley Telecaster Relic, the FenderCustom Shop follows traditional late-Sixties specifications. Underneath the Relic finish, which recreates in detail the playing marks of a frequently played vintage original, lies a two-piece body made of carefully selected, lightweight alder, while the bolt-on neck is made of particularly stable maple with standing annual rings (Rift Sawn Maple). The Rift Sawn Maple fingerboard is historically correct "Round Laminated" and glued onto the neck's curvature. In terms of playability, the Pink Paisley Tele is oriented to modern demands and offers with the slim "'60s Style Oval C profile" and the Vintage Compound fingerboard radius a particularly agile handling.
Hand-wound Custom Shop Original Blackguard Single Coils with Greasebucket Tone Circuit promise versatile vintage tones.
Original Blackguard Single-Coils and Greasebucket Circuit
For the pickup of the Limited Edition '68 Pink Paisley Tele, the luthiers at the Custom Shop choose two hand-wound OBG Original Blackguard single coils. Authentic recreations of the original Sixties pickups, the pickups evoke the coveted vintage Tele sound, with crisp twang and the perfect amount of bite in the highs, perfect for classic styles of country and rock. In addition to the familiar "Modern Wiring" for pickup selection using a 3-way switch, the Pink Paisley Tele also features the practical Greasebucket Tone Circuit. This reduces when using the tone control not only the treble, but also takes back the bass, so that the sound always remains clearly defined.
Schaller "F" tuners provide stable and accurate tuning on the headstock of the Pink Paisley Tele.
Authentic Hardware
Of course, the FenderCustom shop completes the Limited Edition '68 Pink Paisley Telecaster Relic with historically correct Hardware in an aged finish. The bridge is the typical '67 Telecaster bridge with double tailpieces, which supports the crisp sound of the electric guitar with the string guide through the body. At the headstock the strings are guided via a bone nut to the precise and tuning stable Schaller "F" tuners.
