Heavy Relic Color over Color Red Hot Custom Shop Telecaster
The Fender LTD Red Hot Telecaster Heavy Relic #CZ568332 electric guitar from the Custom Shop in Corona, California hides a Color over Color nitrocellulose finish, a Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst under a classic Aged Seafoam Green and is absolutely unique due to the Heavy Relic Aging. Furthermore, a Red Hot single coil and CuNiFe humbucker pickup setup offer a very special tone colour. A high-quality neck, also roasted maple with standing annual rings provides further in the Large-'C' profile for ideal conditions, which are rounded off by a Custom store hardware equipment. The Red Hot Telecaster is protected by a black Fender Case with padding, including Fender strap and accessories.
Through the Fender Custom Shop's elaborate aging process, the Color over Color finish of the Fender Red Hot CuNiFe Telecaster appears in an authentic Heavy Relic look.
The maple neck offers a comfortable playing experience due to the wide Large-'C' neck profile.
Fender construction and Heavy Relic finish.
For a familiar feel, the FenderRed Hot Telecaster is composed of a two-piecealder body as well as a neck also made of toasted Quarter Sawn Maple (maple with standing growth rings) in bolt-on construction. The solid neck sits comfortably in the hand due to the Large-'C' neck profile and features 21 jumbo frets as well as a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius. Particularly striking due to the Heavy Relic Aging is the color-over-color finish combination, which here turns out to be an Aged Seafoam Green over a Chocolate 3-Color Sunburst with a Nitrocellulose finish.
The reissue of the historic CuNiFe pickups with large coil bodies and the chrome cap with Fender logo offers a unique sound.
Pickup configuration and features
Tonally, the limited edition Telecaster guitar convinces with a combination of CuNiFe Wide Range humbucker and a Red Hot single coil pickup hand-wound by Josefina Campos. Accordingly, the HS configuration promises a powerful Output with pronounced mids and a pleasant hi-fi presence. Both pickups can be controlled in a Tele-typical way via a classic 3-way circuit as well as a volume and tone control. Furthermore, the Tele in Color over Color Finish is equipped with a '58-'63 Telecaster bridge, with three RSD brass tailpieces and a string guide through the body.
