Heavy Relic Aging for an authentic vintage instrument.
The Fender Limited Edition 1950 Double Esquire takes a deep look into the history of the electric guitar itself as a nod to the historic double-pickup model of the first solid-body electric guitar made by Fender. In the Heavy Relic Aged version of the DoubleEsquire from the Custom store in Corona, California, the limited edition model offers an especially authentic feel with top-notch appointments. An ash body in Nocaster Blonde and a solid maple neck provide the unmistakable look, while two hand-wound single-coil pickups ensure a well-known sound transformation at the amplifier.
The historically accurate Fender Limited Edition 1950 Double Esquire HRL Faded Aged Nocaster Blonde #R128208 comes complete with Fender guitar case, strap and COA.
Heavy Relic Aging continues to give the Double Esquire authentic playing traces and a strong character of its own.
Traditional Double Esquire construction
The strong, two-piece ash body of the rare Double Esquire is finished in classic Nocaster Blonde and offers high recognition value in combination with the black pickguard. A bolt-on neck made of Rift Sawn Maple in the strong 1950s Blackguard neck profile promises a playing experience that is only offered by FenderVintage instruments. The fretboard is in the rising compound radius from 7.25-inch to 9.5-inch, allowing all 21 medium Vintage frets to be played with ease.
Of course, a high-quality Fender Custom Shop hardware equipment and a chrome control plate may not be missing.
Custom Shop Pickups and Hardware Features
As a duale version of the Esquire, the limited edition model features two Custom Shop Handwound '50 - '51Blackguardsingle coil pickups in neck and bridge positions, which can be controlled with a 3-way switch and a volume and blend knob. Accordingly, the sound of Double Esquire is extremely balanced, with flexible adjustment possibilities. Vintage-style Tuning tuners and a '51 - '54 Tele bridge keep the Double Esquire in a stable tone.
