The Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Electric Guitar Black is a 6-string electric guitar, that is a Johnny Marr signature model, featuring an alder body, a maple neck, a rosewood fretboard, and a black finish. Johnny Marr is best known as the strikingly dynamic guitarist-arranger-songwriter behind the Smiths, who redefined and ruled pop in the 1980s. A master of melody, layering and texture, Marr has brought his own instantly identifiable genius to the proceedings ever since, in stints with The The, Electronic, the Pretenders and Johnny Marr and the Healers, Modest Mouse, and the Cribs, to say nothing of his solo career and innumerable guest appearances.
The Johnny Marr Jaguar is a fantastically non-standard model that is as distinctive as the sounds he wrings from it, with a wealth of highly specialized features ideal for the discerningly unconventional guitarist. Now available in this limited edition colour option. This guitar features custom wound pickups, an artist signature on the front of the headstock, nylon bridge post inserts for improved stability and a nylon insert in the trem arm sleeve to prevent arm swing.

Wonderful guitar. Straight out of the box, it requires a quick tune up, and I recorded with it. It was shipped from the warehouse in Germany, so very surprised it settled down so quickly!
I found the neck very comfortable immediately.and the tones are varied and very usable. A recommended purchase, although slightly more expensive than a standard jaguar.
I have a custom shop telecaster and it matches it’s playability. Very similar necks. I hope this helps on deciding wether to purchase one yourself. Enjoy!
A very nice guitar indeed. Looks lovely. Not set up very well but easily fixed, however considering the price....
The short scale suits my little fingers. The pickups are great, very musical sounding. A little fret buzz at the business end, but this may be improved by fitting 11’s if your a bit of a thrasher.
It’s great at what it does and cuts through the mix very well. It’s the best Jaguar I have played so far.
It’s a lot to pay for a niche guitar and I don’t think it will hold its value as well as a more mainstream alternative, but it’s a great addition to the standards. Works very well with my Princeton amp and Timmy clone pedal.
