With the Fender Artist Series Hendrix Stratocaster, Fender presents a signature model that pays tribute to the greatest guitarist of all time. Jimi is undoubtedly one of the most legendary guitarists of all time and has shaped entire generations of musicians with his unique sound and playing style. The most characteristic feature of his sound was the Fender Stratocaster, which he strung and played upside down as a left-hander in the absence of a corresponding model.
The most striking feature of this guitar is the large reversed headstock in the style of the 70s, which gives the guitar its characteristic appearance. The construction of the Fender Artist Series Hendrix Stratocaster follows the classic model. Accordingly, the guitar has an alder body, while the screwed neck is made of maple. The proven C profile gives the neck an extremely comfortable playability and, thanks to the modern 9.5" fingerboard radius, also offers unhindered bending in all positions.
The Artist Series Hendrix Strat is equipped with three Fender American Vintage Gray Bottom single coils. These pickups deliver a warm, tight sound with pronounced overtones and excellent definition, ideal for broad and characterful chord playing as well as vocal leads. The reverse inclination of the bridge pickup allows you to get very close to the authentic Hendrix sound, especially in positions 4 and 5 of the blade switch.
Really nice look and feel, and superb sound. It’s not that far from a classic model but there’s that season over that make this model stands out - especially those that are a big fan or Hendrix timbre. Definitely recommend it!
Great guitar. Craftsmanship only 4stars due to some fret buzz (nothing that a good fret polish and proper setup can't sort out). The major plus on this purchase is the dv247 packaging and the care on delivery. Well done guys.
