The Fender George Harrison Telecaster is a loving recreation of the guitar that design legend Roger Rossmeisl designed none other than the 'silent Beatle' George Harrison and presented in 1968 on behalf of Fender as a gift. The instrument, made of precious rosewood, experienced sudden fame at the legendary Rooftop Concert in London and has since been regarded as an iconic relic of rock history. With the George Harrison Telecaster, Fender is now making this unique instrument with its characterful sound accessible to fans and collectors as part of a limited run of 1,000 pieces for 2022 and is giving the electric guitar a true-to-original black hardshell Case with orange plush interior.

Chambered Rosewood Body
To both reduce Gewicht and optimize resonance characteristics, the rosewood body of the Fender George Harrison Telecaster is chambered. The three-piece body is made of two pieces of rosewood glued together with a thin maple veneer in the middle, following the distinctive sound and look of the original.
'60s C rosewood neck
The neck of the Fender George Harrison Telecaster is also made of rosewood and carries a laminated rosewoodfretboard with 21 frets in medium Jumbo format, synthetic bone nut in traditional width and modern 9.5" fretboard radius, creating the best conditions for expressive playing. The '60s C neck profile also plays an important role in recreating the classic feel of this special Sixties Tele.
Fender Pure Vintage '64 Gray-Bottom Single Coils
Two Pure Vintage '64 Gray-Bottom Single Coils wound at the Fender Corona Facility in California are used in the neck and bridge positions. The single coils with historically correct Gray Fiber Bobbins follow traditional specifications and rely on Alnico 5 magnets with stepped pole pieces for balanced response on all strings, enameled winding wire and wax potting to reduce distracting microphonics.
Vintage-correct hardware
Also the hardware remains true to the original and consists of a typical 3-saddle Vintage-Style Telecaster bridge with string guide through the body and six Fender Vintage "F" stamped tuners. furthermore each Fender George Harrison Telecaster has a special neckplatewith individual engraved serial number and George Harrison's 'Om' symbol, while the included Deluxe Hardshell Case with black Tolex cover and orange plush lining matches the original case of the Rosewood Tele.
