He Fender Custom Shop uses the historically correct ingredients in the form of vulcanized fiber coil bodies, copper wire and chamfered Alnico II rod magnets, so that the guitar amplifier produces a fat sound with a stable bass foundation and sweetish treble, which reacts to the player with a crisp attack. The middle pickup, which is wound and polarized in reverse, also keeps the intermediate positions free of ambient noise.

Wow what a difference. I fitted these to my 1989 strat plus after struggling along for over 30 years with factory fitted gold lace sensors. They really brought the guitar to life, iv never heard it sound so good, as a now vintage strat should. Brilliant pickups, I don't know why I waited so long.
