The Fender Bassman 800 in the official video:
Hybrid bass amp with tube preamp, two channels and 800 Watt Class D power amp
The Fender Bassman 800 bass amp skilfully bridges the gap between classic Vintage Tone and modern Bass sounds. The powerful head is equipped with an 800 watt Class D power amp, while two 12AX7 tubes in the two-channel preamp ensure the perfect sound. Last but not least, the Bassman 800 Bass head is ideally equipped for use on stage and in the recording studio with its extensive connections.
The Fender Bassman 800 Head combines a classic tube preamp with a powerful Class D power amp.
Two channels for versatile Bass sounds
With two distinctively tuned channels, the Bassman 800 Head covers a wide spectrum of sounds, making it an all-rounder for almost any style of music. In the Vintage channel, the head delivers classic Fender tones with powerful bass, the perfect amount of midrange growl and silky highs. The interactive controls of the traditionally passive 3-band tone control allow you to adjust the tone color. The overdrive channel, on the other hand, is all about fat tube distortion, which can be perfectly adjusted thanks to the active 3-band equalizer with semi-parametric midband. The Blend control also smoothly blends the clean signal to add definition and punch to the sound.
Equipped for stage and studio
The Class D power amplifier of the Fender Bassman 800 contributes significantly to its transport-friendly weight of just 7.7 kg. With 800 watts of power, it also promises adequate volume reserves for band rehearsals and performances with a full line-up. Thanks to the balanced XLR output with its own level control, nothing stands in the way of a problem-free direct recording of the Bass sound on stage or in the studio. It is possible to send the unprocessed bass signal or the preamp sound to mixing consoles or interfaces. The preamp-out and poweramp-in connections also allow you to integrate external effects devices into the signal path or to supply several bass amplifiers with the same signal.
