Buckeye Burl, Roasted Pine & Birdseye Maple
The Fender Artisan Buckeye Double Esquire draws its unique sound character from its unique combination of exotic and rare tonewoods. A solid piece of roasted pine forms the basis for the body, which is finished with a two-piece top made of breathtakingly grained buckeye burl and a surrounding herringbone purfling. To elicit maximum resonance from the rarely used top wood, the body is made in a semi-resonant construction and equipped with an additional f-hole. The Artisan Buckeye Double Esquire is completed by a roasted birdseye maple neck and a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard in AAA quality.
The hand-wound Loaded '51 Nocaster single-coil from the Fender Custom Shop has an open cap to give the sound additional clarity.
Hand-wound Custom Shop '51 Loaded Nocaster Single Coils
The FenderCustom Shop chose two hand-wound Custom Shop Loaded '51 Nocaster Single Coils for the neck and bridge position to complement the basic tonal character of the basic construction. The two pickups are very much in the style of classic Nocaster pickups of the early fifties and are characterized by their present sound image with particularly powerful mids and coveted Telecaster qualities. The open metal cap of the neck pickup further optimizes the inductivity, so that the sound is enriched with additional clarity in the highs.
