Besides the historically accurate appointments like the matching headstock and the bound rosewood fingerboard, Fender naturally relies on the certificated construction method with offset arch body and slim maple neck in the narrow "1966 U" profile for the American Vintage II '66 Lefthand Jazz Bass. Two Pure Vintage '66 single coil pickups and the traditional passive electrics also promise diverse vintage sounds that make the left-handed J-Bass an all-rounder for almost any musical style. Fender The construction of the American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass Lefthand adheres to the specifications of its namesake vintage with great attention to detail. Beneath the thin nitrocellulose lacquer is an alder body, whose ergonomic offset design with rounded edges and large comfort shapings promises comfortable handling of the bass guitar both on the strap and on the thigh. The bolt-on maple neck naturally features the authentic "1966 U" profile, which promises excellent playing characteristics for any technique with strong rounding and narrow 38 mm nut width. The rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dots and elegant binding is also glued to the 7.25" radius (184 mm) specified by the neck blank using the " Round Laminated" method.

Authentic vintage sounds for almost every genre

At the bass amplifier, the American Vintage II Jazz Bass for left-handers turns out to be a sonic all-rounder that not only feels at home in its namesake jazz, but also comes up with the right tones for almost any musical genre between blues, rock, R'n'B, funk and metal. Separate volume controls allow infinitely variable mixing of the Fender Pure Vintage '66 J-Bass single coils in bridge and middle positions, providing an extensive tonal palette with unmistakable vintage character, ranging from the wiry and mid-range assertiveness of the bridge pickup to the deep yet transparent sound of the middle pickup. To customize the Bass sound, the bass guitar also features the traditional passive treble cutoff.

Historically accurate hardware equipment

An outfit of historically accurate reproduced attachments completes Fender's American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass Lefthand RW Olympic White. On the body, the factory-wound roundwound strings are held by the traditional Pure Vintage 4-saddle bridge, whose fluted steel tailpieces not only guarantee precise adjustment of intonation and string action, but also make string spacing selectable within certain limits. Behind the bone nut, precise Pure Vintage "Lollipop" tun ers with distinctive oval wings also keep the E-Bass securely in the correct tuning. In addition, the headstock carries a third strap button, which on original vintage instruments allowed the strap to be attached to the headstock using the classic method. Last but not least, the historically correct bridge cover is included with the Bass for optional installation.
