Playability
Thanks to a revised body design, the American Ultra Stratocaster HSS now offers even more agile playing characteristics and free access to the highest positions of the fingerboard, whose compound radius of 10 to 14 inches always provides the right foundation for everything from classic chord playing to advanced lead techniques.
Pickup and Hardware
On the tonal side, the neck and middle position feature two hot-wound Fender Ultra Noiseless Hot Single Coils for juicy tones with unmistakable Strat character, while the custom Ultra Double Tap humbucker produces hot double-coil tones. The S-1 switch puts the humbucker into Double Tap mode for clear single-coil sounds. Here, the pickup is not only split, but adjusts the output to the other single coils, whereby especially the intermediate positions sound well balanced.
With a powerful HSS setup and slimmer body contours, the Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS is just the thing for fans of hotter Strat sounds.

This guitar is stunning!! I’ve owned a Strat before, but this one is in a different league. Super action and tone, multiple pickup positions, a truly great instrument. Really fast delivery and a great price too! AAA!
Great quality, amazing looks , black with anodized gold pickguard is a super combination, very lively pickups (HSS). Feels and plays superior to American Professional series.

After waiting a week under 10 months for my guitar to arrive I am now very happy. But to see the guitar of your dreams available and in stock to be told as soon as you've ordered that it's going to be a few months, then the expected date changes and changes so much so that I kind of just gave up and forgot about it. Then it arrives out of the blue..
