Fender American Performer Stratocaster MN (Penny) Electric Guitar
The Fender American Performer Stratocaster MN (Penny) is a 6-string electric Guitar with a Greasebucket tone circuit and classic single coil sounds. Equipped with 3x Yosemite single-coil pick-ups with graded pole pieces for warm and expressive tones, the American Performer Strat creates a vivid sound with balanced string response. The Greasebucket tone pot is also included as standard, offering a classic treble roll-off without adding bass to the signal, as well as a push/pull function to engage the neck pick-up in each position.
Developed specifically for the American Performer series, the Yosemite Single Coil pick-ups follow the traditional Fender design and deliver those coveted 50s and 60s sounds. The result is a flexible single coil sound with a dynamic playing response. The neck pick-up can also be called on for warm neck sounds in any switch position by means of the push/pull function of the second tone knob.

Curt Henderson Introduces The American Performer Stratocaster
Great sounding and very well done guitar. I have also Stratocaster -74 (near to 4 kg weight) and this Performer is easier to work with. Very good pickups.
Highly recommended.

For an instrument made in the USA it is inexpensive
For an instrument made in the USA it is inexpensive. I love the finishing and also the pickups. I already have Yosemite pickups installed in a Telecaster-partcaster. The neck is well finished. (fret work) The body is beautiful. The setup just ok, playable, but not the as good as I could expect. I would have loved the usual Fender headstock. I am not very fan of the bigger one. I recommend this instrument for any one who would wish to have an American Fender Stratocaster without spending the usual price.
