This 4-string Bass has an Alder body with a typical offset design and a bolt-on Maple neck in the narrow "Modern C" profile. 2x Fender Yosemite single coil pick-ups (diverse enough to groove in almost any style of music) deliver the classic Jazz Bass tones these instruments are famous for. The Fender Greasebucket Tone Circuit for supple treble roll-offs without muddiness. The Fender American Performer Jazz Bass is equipped with a 4-Saddle Vintage bridge and Fender Lightweight vintage tuners.
Classic Offset Design
Held in traditional offset design that optimizes balance between the thigh and the guitar straps, the Fender American Performer Jazz Bass is produced in the outstanding factory in Corona, California. The American Performer has an Alder body and a bolt- on Maple neck with a slim "Modern C" profile with 38mm nut width and 9.5" fingerboard radius offers optimum playing characteristics.
Fender Yosemite Single Coils with Greasebucket Tone Circuit
The pick-ups configuration of the Fender American Performer Jazz Bass are a pair of Fender Yosemite single coil pick-ups specially designed for this model. With bobbins soaked with shellac to prevent microfloration, and Flat Pole Pieces, they deliver a dynamically responsive sound that, with its strong all-round qualities, are applicable to just about any genre of music. Another special feature is the passive Greasebucket Tone Circuit, allowing for the shaping of higher frequencies without affecting the bass.
Traditional Hardware
An extremely reliable hardware set in the traditional vintage style completes the Fender American Performer Jazz Bass. The proven Fender 4-Saddle bass bridge with steel string riders is used on the body, which guarantees an optimal adjustment of intonation and string position.
