Fender American Original '60s Jaguar RW Daphne Blue in authentic construction
For the construction of the Fender American Original '60s Jaguar RW Daphne Blue, Fender relies on the classic design and original proportions of the 1960s. Accordingly, the body is made of alder in an ergonomic offset design, while the bolt-on maple neck carries a "Round Laminated" rosewood fingerboard. The shorter 24-inch scale (610 mm) also ensures playing comfort and a warm component in the sound.
Two Fender Pure Vintage Jaguar Single Coils
The electrical sound conversion of the Fender American Original '60s Jaguar is provided by two Fender Pure Vintage '62 Jaguar Single Coil Pickups. These are historically correct with coil bodies made of vulcanized fibre, enamelled copper wire and Alnico V magnets and are framed by the Jaguar-typical serrated metal rails. At the amp, they deliver a warm sound with a crisp response thanks to their powerful output.
Diversity thanks to lead and rhythm circuit
The two Jaguar Pure Vintage Single Coils are managed using the typical circuitry, which is divided into lead and rhythm circuits. In the lead circuit, the pickups can be selected using two On/Off sliders, with Master Volume and Master Tone controls allowing the tone to be adjusted. In addition, the "Strangle" switch is available to activate a bass cut. In the rhythm circuit, which is activated by pressing the slide switch in the upper half of the body, the neck pickup alone is available with separate volume and tone controls. In this way, two different sounds can be conveniently "stored" and recalled.
Vintage Style Hardware
Last but not least, the Fender American Original '60s Jaguar RW Daphne Blue features authentic vintage-style hardware. The tailpiece is a Fender Floating Vintage Tremolo, which allows up and down pitch modulations. From here, the strings are led over the Fender 6-Saddle Adjustable Bridge, whose Mute Assembly dampens the strings for classic jazz sounds as needed. At the headstock, Fender Pure Vintage Deluxe tuners provide precise and stable tuning.
