The Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass 4-String Bass Guitar in Black is the first U.S.-made Jaguar Bass to ever be made outside of the legendary Fender Custom Shop.
The Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass features a sleek, offset Alder body that helps to give the bass a very distinctive and unique look. The body is joined by a fast-playing Maple neck with the classic in-line Fender headstock that is topped by a 9.5” radius Rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard itself is finished off with 20 medium-jumbo frets and a set of aged white pearloid block inlays that add to the elegance of the bass.
The body of the Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass is fitted with a highly versatile PJ pickup configuration – a ceramic single-coil Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge and an Alnico V split single-coil Precision Bass pickup in the middle position. These are accompanied by a bass guitar version of the classic Jaguar control system, a setup that includes individual pickup on/off and series/parallel switches, along with an active/passive tone circuit switch and individual bass and treble controls. This system is also joined by traditional master volume and tone controls, all of which combine to produce one of the most tonally versatile basses to have ever been made.
The Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass is finished off by the addition of a combination top-load/string-thru High-Mass Vintage bridge and a set of lightweight Fender “F” tuners with an A-string retainer, all of which are finished in a hard-wearing Chrome.
