The Fender '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver at a glance:
The Fender '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver is a handcrafted electric guitar from the FenderCustom Shop and combines both classic and modern features with a unique Relic color finish in Inca Silver. The bass alderbody is complemented by a bolt-on maple neck, which is defined by a 60s oval "C" neck profile and delivers an authentic vintage feel. In return, the 21-fret rosewood fingerboard does not rely on a uniform fingerboard radius, but comes with a compound radius of 9.5" to 12", resulting in a high level of playability due to the ergonomically advantageous fingerboard curvature for chords and barré fingerings in the nut area. Meanwhile, fast lead solos in high registers are easy to tackle thanks to the flatter 12" radius, without bendings creaking or Sustain breaking off. Furthermore, the '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver comes with a scale length of 25.5" and a nut width of 41.92 mm. Overall, the exotic Cutstom Shop Stratocaster is characterized by a combination of tried and tested Hardware and modern standards, which identifies the instrument as a special one-off.
With the best features of the past and present, the Fender '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver delivers ideal handling and convinces with a versatile sound.
Whether vintage or modern: With two Texas Special Single Coils and the TB-4 JB Trembucker, any sound is possible.
Texas Special Single Coils and Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Trembucker
The '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver is equipped with HSS pickups, consisting of two Texas Special single coils in the neck and middle position, while a powerful Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB Trembucker is in the bridge position. The high-quality pickups rely on a versatile tone color variation that is defined between a classic vintage sound and modern high-output. Both Texas Special single coils are characterized by the legendary Strat sound, which is characterized by crisp mids and present highs, allowing bluesy licks and extroverted overdrive sounds to be extracted from the instrument in a defined way. At the same time, the TB-4 JB Trembucker is a pickup that provides a broad tone and is ideally fed by strong drive or even high gain. This pickup combination produces a trueall-rounder sound that is ideal for all genres from Blues to rock - the '63 Stratocaster HSS Relic Inca Silver doesn't even have to shy away from harder styles such as hard rock or heavy metal thanks to the Seymour Duncan humbucker!
A special seal of quality can be seen in the neck plate with the official Fender Custom Shop logo.
Vintage hardware
In contrast to the multitude of modern features, the nickel/chrome hardware of the '63 Stratocaster is based on the legendary '63 original: with a 2-point tremolo including Vintage Upgraded 60's Relic tremolo arm and the 6-saddle American Vintage Strat bridge, vibrato nuances can be perfectly implemented into the guitar playing, while the vintage-style tuners ensure secure tuning. Naturally, the Stratocaster comes with the iconic four-bolt neck plate, on which the engraved FenderCustom Shop logo is a great detail. The control caps, tremolo tip, switch tip, 5-way switch and both single coils come in chic eggshell white, while the humbucker exudes a classic vintage charm with its zebra black/cream look.
