The Fame Silver Classic Classical Guitar Strings are a set of high-quality classical guitar strings offering exceptional clarity and excellent value for money. These Fame guitar strings come in a gauge of 0.28- 0.43w.
The main features of the Fame Silver Classic Classical Guitar Strings include:
I bought these strings for a cheap Stagg acoustic guitar, which isn't the most stable guitar ever tuning wise, but normally it stays in tune with something like D'Addario strings after a few hours. With these Fame strings, I've had them on my guitar for about 2 weeks and they just won't stay in tune for more than 10 minutes of playing. Some strings drop more than half a semitone overnight as well.
As for the sound, the wound bottom strings didn't have that crisp and bright new string sound or feel at all, being distinctly dull, as you'd expect from a set that's been on for a few months too long. The top nylon strings seem to have a little more grip than the others, which feels a little strange at first, but they sound okay for a cheap set of strings.
I wouldn't recommend anyone really get these, unless you just need restring a guitar that you're putting into storage and want to have something to hold some tension on the neck.
Bought these to string up and old camp fire guitar. Did the job nicely and lasted the vacation. Not as bright as my usual brand but a good set of workhorse strings at very good value. With a set of strings of this price my main worry was that they would break and I was pleasantly surprised when they didnt
