The sound module contains around 400 exclusive multi-layer sounds made of approximately 12,500 individual samples. Simon Phillips and Marco Minnemann recorded their own drum kits at a recording studio in Los Angeles and worked closely with our development team to optimise the sounds specifically for the Hybrid PRO module.
To ensure the highest possible sound quality across all styles, every drum and cymbal in the Fame Hybrid PRO sound library was recorded using an elaborate multi-microphone setup at varying distances. At Fame, "multi-layer" means more than just recording at different volume levels—it involves capturing the natural tonal changes and frequency shifts that occur with varying playing intensities. As a result, each instrument responds authentically to your dynamics. Some of the Fame sounds are built from up to 128 individual layers, delivering remarkably natural sound behaviour and a truly professional audio experience.
The Fame Hybrid PRO is a high-performance drum module featuring 12 individual trigger channels, as well as dedicated inputs for hi-hat control and ride cymbal control. Designed for professional-level responsiveness, the ultra-fast module ensures latency-free performance across a wide dynamic range. Beyond standard configurations, the module also supports creative expansions—such as connecting an additional pad to the kick input using the included split cable, alongside the snare rim input. A generous 4 GB of internal flash memory is available to load your own samples, loops, and backing tracks, offering plenty of room for customisation. An external signal—such as a monitor mix—can be fed directly into the module via the stereo line-in, allowing for convenient in-ear monitoring. One of the standout features is the set of four mono direct outputs. These enable flexible routing, so that individual instruments or groups of sounds can be sent separately to a mixing desk or interface. You can even route backing tracks or the metronome independently—ideal for live setups that demand precision and control. Whether you're performing live, working in the studio, or rehearsing, the Fame Hybrid PRO provides an optimal output solution for virtually any scenario. From a simple stereo mix via the headphone output to complex, individual monitoring and playback configurations, the routing options available with the Fame Hybrid PRO allow you to tailor your setup to meet your exact needs.
The housing of the Fame Hybrid PRO is constructed from durable metal, making it more than capable of withstanding the rigours of regular touring and demanding live environments. Its exceptional build quality is evident at the rear of the unit, where each individual input and output socket features its own secure screw connection and dedicated internal wiring. This thoughtful design greatly reduces the risk of socket failure – an essential feature for profressuibaks who rely on dependable gear. The robust switches and two control knobs are also built for long-term durability, ensuring the module performs reliably even under heavy use. Manufactures in Europe to the highest quality standards, the Fame Hybrid PRO sound module combines rugged construction with outstandig technical precision.
In addition to its unique multi-layer samples, another key feature contributes to the ultra-realistic sound: subtle variations in output depending on velocity and playing style. This dynamic response effectively eliminates the dreaded "machine gun" effect that pften plagues other electronic drum kits, where identical hits sound unnaturally repetitive. Instead, the Hybrid Pro delivers a remarkably organic and expressive playing experience, with professional studio-quality sounds and a natural feel that sets it apart from the rest.
Conventional WAV files are loaded into the module in CD quality (stereo, 16 bit/44.1 kHz) via USB and then assigned to a kit. Playbacks, sample tracks and loops are simply played back; if required, a pad on the
In addition to practice purposes, the integrated metronome is specifically optimized for live use. A customized metronome can be saved for each kit. A variety of time signatures, accents and sounds can be programmed according to your own specifications. The metronome can also be used as a one- or two-bar count-in: the click stops automatically in the corresponding mode.

you can now enjoy additional sounds that can be accessed directly from the module. These sounds include authentic and modern cymbal and drum tones, all recorded in a professional studio setting. For the cymbal sounds, we commissioned recordings of a Zildjian K Custom Dark Set and a Meinl Pure Alloy Cymbal Set. Renowned microphones, preamps, and transducers were carefully selected to ensure an exceptional sound experience. These are high-resolution multi-layer samples at 44.1 kHz and 24-bit depth, created from numerous individual samples. For example, the hi-hat sounds alone consist of over 260 individual samples. The recording process utilised the multi-mic method, with six microphones capturing each sample to capture every nuance of the sound. For the drum sounds, the legendary Sonor Hilite series was sampled. Three premium drum kits were created, each featuring different tunings, head types, and mix parameters in post-production. The resulting kits—Prog Kit, Rock Kit, and Gated Reverb Kit—offer exceptional versatility for a wide range of musical styles and performances.
