Stainless steel handpan from Fame with 22" diameter
The Fame Handpan One D-Minor is a hand-tuned handpan made of stainless steel in the Aztec Gold finish in the tuning D minor. It has nine notes and produces a balanced and powerful tone in 440 Hz. The Fame handpan is played with the fingers by striking the differently tuned playing surfaces. The diameter of the handpan is 22" (54 cm), so it can be played comfortably on the lap. The D minor of the Fame handpan comes with the following tones: D/A/B'/C/D/E/F/G/A. The meditative, calming tone can be used for therapeutic purposes as well as for meditation. The professional Fame Handpan Bag PRO backpack bag is included in the scope of delivery.
Fame Handpan with nine tones
Handpan One from Fame in 440 Hz
The central fundamental tone is in the middle of the handpan, surrounded by a circular choir of sound fields. The individual playing surfaces are under pressure and are tuned by hand to 440 Hz, which means that if the sound fields are struck briefly with a finger, the entire handpan is set in vibration and a linear, spherical tone with singing sustain is produced.
Quality-tested in specialist production
Every Fame handpan is checked for workmanship and sound quality by experienced handpan experts at the production facility. As these are handmade instruments, there may be slight color deviations from the product image. Please send your inquiries about the product directly to
The technique of playing a handpan is comparatively simple to learn: the playing surface is struck briefly with the fingertip, the faster the hand is then pulled away, the more beautiful the sound produced. Our product specialist Christian aka "Mister Handpan" shows further steps for learning to play the handpan in his tutorials on the MUSIC STORE Youtube Channel.
Fame Generation III handpans: perfect sound with lots of features
The Generation III handpans from Fame have upgrades that are probably unique in this price range: The handpans are made from a high-quality stainless steel shell, which is decorated with a stylized logo and the model name on the underside. This not only ensures exceptional durability, but also gives the instrument an unmistakable look.
A key feature that distinguishes these Generation handpans is the innovative sustain control function. This makes it possible to adjust the sustain individually between "mellow" and "bright" and thus fine-tune the tone of the instrument. The premium glossy Aztec Goldfinish gives each model an elegant look, and with a choice of five different models available in four different tunings, the Generation III offers unprecedented variety and flexibility, making it possible to choose an instrument that perfectly suits individual musical needs and preferences. This Generation of handpans focuses on the combination of sound aesthetics, durability and playing comfort
At a more affordable price than most handpans its good for those with lower budgets and interested beginners however the quality is excellent so shouldn't put off professional players either. Comes with a good bag, one review mentioned the shoulder straps were too short to wear as a rucksack however I found it fits fine and at 6" reckon it would fit most people fine. Overall a great product.
As a person who has played percussion foe 32 years this is a beautiful made instrument with very hipnotic sounds, once you start playing either tunes or rtythms you, ll never want to put it down.
The sound and tone is excellent, very easy to pick up and play quickly without prior experience. I picked it up very quickly, looks beautiful also. The only knock is the back pack carry case it comes with, the back straps are not long enough to be at all useable, you can't actually use it and have to hold the handle to carry it. Apart from that, all excellent, there were a few slight marks to the finish, but overal that makes no difference to the tone
