Spruce and mahogany are among the classic tonewood combinations of the acoustic guitar and convince with a balanced midrange and treble spectrum.
Spruce top & mahogany body
The basic construction determining the sound character of the Fame Dreadnought Deluxe is formed by a solid spruce top and a body made of equally solid mahogany wood. The former contributes an overtone-rich profile to the sound thanks to vibratory X-bracing, while the body with warm mahogany notes provides a pronounced midrange spectrum and rounded bass frequencies. These features make the Fame Dreadnought Deluxe the perfect all-rounder for strummers, flatpickers and fingerpickers.
The volute on the five-piece mahogany neck of the Fame Dreadnought Deluxe provides additional stability.
Slim C mahogany neck
In order to provide the left hand with the best conditions for unhindered playing, the five-piece mahogany and ebony neck has a slim C-profile, which provides exactly the right amount of wood for controlled fingering and the necessary finger freedom for nimble playing on the20-fretebony fingerboard. On the back of the headstock is furthermore an additional flute, and the transition between neck and headstock to provide additional stability.
Visual refinements include multi-layer tortoise binding, chrome hardware and a classy high-gloss finish.
