The Fame DFP9001 double pedal is a robust and versatile double bass drum pedal with an exceptional price-performance ratio. Professional features, careful workmanship and numerous adjustment options make this pedal a reliable tool, suitable for rehearsal room, stage and studio. The Fame DFP9001 double pedal can be adjusted individually and fits into every drum set. With the padded hoop clamp the pedal can be screwed on comfortably from the side.
Both the main and slave pedal of the Fame DFP9001 are mounted on robust, resilient double columns and suspended from the axles with stable double chains. The split-board tread plates are very stable and are equipped with a profile so that the foot does not slip off during fast sections. There are heavy base plates under both pedals. These ensure a better stand and more stability. Should the pedals still tend to slip, they can be additionally secured with a total of 4 spikes that can be unscrewed (2 per pedal). In the unlikely event that even this is not enough, there is an additional Velcro strip under the base plates, which anchors itself firmly to any type of textile surface. Both pedals are connected with a very resistant, smooth-running cardan shaft.
For "true" double bass players the following detail should be of highest interest: In contrast to most conventional pedals, the Fame double pedal DFP9001 has both pedals equipped with a so-called Beater Hub, i.e. both pedals are capable of accommodating a bass drum beater. This allows you to conjure up two single pedals from the double pedal in no time at all, for use in a drum set with a double bass drum setup. Naturally the spring tension can also be adjusted separately for both pedals.
The sophisticated design of the Fame DFP9001 double pedal allows for a wide range of settings to adapt the pedal perfectly to your personal drumming needs. With the spring tension the strength of the pedal resistance can be regulated, thus also adjusting the response and speed of the pedal. Furthermore, the spring tension can be used to determine how fast or slow the pedal rebounds. With a soft setting there is hardly any resistance to be felt on the foot, whereas a hard setting makes the pedal practically stick to the foot and allows higher speeds. To achieve even more speed or force respectively, the pedal and beater angles can be adjusted independently of each other. For more power, for example, you choose a relatively large pedal angle, for more speed a flat one. With the hoop clamp the Fame DFP9001 double pedal can be mounted on the hoop of the bass drum. The fixing screw for the hoop clamp is located on the side of the pedal, so that you don't have to reach under the pedal just to clamp your fingers there. The hoop clamp is coated with rubber protectors on both sides to prevent damage to the bass drum's sensitive wooden hoop.
The DFP9001 double bass pedal is a prime example of the exceptionally good cost-effectiveness of our own brand Fame. Because what you get here at a minimal price can compete with pedals from much more expensive price segments. In times when prices for pedals reach into four-digit figures, the DFP9001 double pedal offers the professional features of more expensive branded products at a fraction of the purchase price. The high quality of the pedal in terms of material, design and workmanship ensures a long service life and years of unrestricted playing pleasure. The DFP9001 double pedal can be adjusted in a variety of ways to perfectly match the individual requirements and playing habits of every drummer.

This double pedal is absolutely sturdy and very good-working. It has hi-end, professional features, and the price is really convenient. And it really looks very nice!! The problem reported by Alex can be easily solved by changing the spring on the left pedal, and everything will just work fine. By me , there are two little faults. First of all, I would have preferred RUBBER on the lower side of the base plates (instead of straps) : this way , the pedal would have NEVER moved away, no matter what the working floor is. With straps, the pedal is stable only on carpets. The bass drum clamp is too tiny , and, in some cases, it doesnt ensure a stable connection between the pedal and the bass drum hoop, even if the bold is strongly tightened up.
But these are only little faults : the pedal works exceptionally, and its highly recommended at that price !!!
I never tried so much double kick pedals. I have to admit that after 1 year, I do not really have any problems. It is relatively stable, and nothing broke on it. I also have to precise that it is not moving from my room.
In general, nothing against it.
as described.

These pedals are awesome for their price balance.
However, there may be a slight (or not so slight) problem, depending of the manner you intend to use them. The thing is that the string tension on the right pedal (where the two beaters stand for double-bass on a single bass drum, connected by the connecting piece) is significantly higher than that on the left. The spring on the left pedal is more loose generally than the one on the right. There are springs on the right one for the two beaters, so if both beaters are on the right pedal, then you can get a symmetrical tension on both.
If you use them as single pedals, then you can not get symmetrical tension on both pedals. Even if you adjust the tension on the right pedal as loose as it could be, and as tight as it can be on the left, then the right pedal will still have more tension.
Again, this is neutralized if you use them on one bass drum with the connecting piece, since then the left pedal pressure passes through two springs and is more adjustable, but they arent really good for double singles as one of your feet lags behind.
Other than that (which may or may not be something standard through all double bass pedals, I dont know, these are my first), this is an amazing product. The workmanship is really good, the sound too. I believe they are unbeatable for their price range. They shipped very quickly too.
