DC Junior
Fame DC Junior Multi-Power Adaptor
The Fame DC Junior is a compact, isolated multi-power adaptor for up to 5x 9V DC effect pedals, providing reliable noise-free operation. The 5x 9V DC outputs are completely isolated from each other to eliminate any interference in the signal path. Each output delivers 2.5 amps, which is more than enough draw for most pedals, ensuring they function at their best. The DC Junior is also protected against short circuits and overloads thanks to its FCLC (Fold Back Current Limiting Circuit). If you happen to have a pedal that recommends 18V operation the DC Junior comes complete with a Y-split cable to send 2x 9V outputs to a single 18V pedal.
The main features of the Fame DC Junior include:
9V Multi-Power Adaptor for Effect Chains
5x Isolated 9V Outputs
Fold Back Current Limiting Circuit (FCLC)
Total Current: 2500mA
Includes: Instructions, Power Cable, 5x DC Cables & a Y-Split Cable for 18V Pedals
I needed this to power my HX Stomp and did not want to fork out € 220 on a powersupply- This is basicly a Strymon Zuma, but for a fraction of the price.
I must admit I wasn't sure if this would work out, but the FAME DC Junior is amazing. First impressions were that the brushed aluminium case was a not better quality than I'd expected for under £50. The cables are really substantial and also good quality. I love the way it connects on a kettle lead with a power switch and it will do 18 volt too using the Y cable supplied. In use it's slimline so it will fit under a Pedaltrain Nano and it's silent in use - I really couldn't have asked for more. So I've ordered another one. Good work FAME!
This is a well built and inexpensive unit which functions as quietly as other, more expensive units. The small size means it fits well under my pedal train and the iec / kettle lead input means that you aren't scrambling to find potential replacement input power cables.
