Nice piece of equipment, very suitable for recording / micing instruments in a studio and live performance situation. The build is good and stable, and it s durable - I own some for about 4 years, and they still work great!
Cheap price with good enough quality, certainly not top notch but still very reliable. The sound is detailed, but could be a little brighter.
If in doubt, just buy one and listen for yourself. You cant go wrong with this one
Good microphone. The best way to use it is to record electric guitar with overdrive. Fame MS 57 also can be used to record acoustic guitar, but acoustic guitar is not as loud as electric guitar. This mic records loud sounds better than quiet.
It is less than one third the price of its "branded" equivalent, but if you hear it, you would not think that.
It is a very good mic to record. I use it mainly to mic guitar and bass amps at my home studio, and it does a very good job. The frequency response is very similar to the "branded" one, i only find that the transients are a little bit more blurred on the MS57, but nothing very noticeable. It is quiet, as quiet as the "branded" one.
I would buy it for sure. A great cheap swiss-knife microfone for studio!!
