The Fame MC-100 is a compact and functional passive volume controller for a stereo source. On the back the signal can be connected and tapped either with TRS or XLR connectors. In between there is a valuable potentiometer with a pleasant rotary resistance. There are also switches for muting and summing to mono. In the test listening as well as in the electronic measurement test in our workshop we could not detect any sound influence!
The MC-100 is the perfect complement to a rack interface or smaller desktop interfaces, which are often quite fiddly to operate. In contrast to other controllers, it also offers stereo mini jack inputs and outputs, so that, for example, a mobile phone or a standard PC sound card can be connected as a sound source. This makes it suitable for setting up a stereo system with consumer devices and active studio monitors or vice versa.
