Fame Audio 5080AM Active Monitor 8" (Black)

The Fame 5080AM’s housing is made from high quality, extremely robust MDF specially designed for these monitors. Its premium appearance is accented by brown side edges made of wood veneer and a black front which dominates the aesthetics of the 5080AM with a shock proof synthetic frame.

Technically identical to its colleagues; the Fame 5050AM and 5060AM, this monitor is equipped with a 8" LF woofer (sandwich cone) and a 1" tweeter with a titanium membrane. The built-in active electronics deliver 120 Watt for the LF woofer and 50 Watt for the tweeter (Bi-Amping). A controllable combo socket input is located on the back, allowing connections for jack and XLR cables. With which the studio monitor can be connected without problem to any source and be adjusted between -10dB and +4dB. And naturally included is also; a panel, with which the speaker can be adjusted to fit room acoustics or personal preference, and a socket to connect a subwoofer; which is only rarely included in many more expensive makes. The sound of this series can only be described as perfectly balanced and can easily compete with those of the reference class. Present, crisp and, considering its size, very powerful bass, cleanly separated mids, and beautiful, silky highs.
