Evans '56 Series

With the Evans '56 Series, the American manufacturer follows the trend for the good old drum sounds of the fifties and sixties of the last century. The Calftone heads are made of a modern Mylar material mix, which is based on the sound and appearance of traditional calfskins, but offers significant advantages in terms of durability and tunability.

The Mylar foil of the Calftone skins comes in the thickness 12 mil, so just over 0.3 mm. The special material mix of the foil creates very warm and rich sounds with the calfskin-typical sustain. In addition to the standard version, the Calftone heads are available in two variations: EQ4 Calftone and EMAD Calftone.
