Perkons Voice is a Eurorack extract from the Erica Synths Perkons HD-01 drum computer. The module has the range of functions of a Perkons HD-01 voice, but offers 13 algorithms instead of 3. Here, too, you'll be offered a range of loud electronic sounds that cover a good cross-section of industrial sounds as well as a lot between "plok" and "booooom" and metal sounds. The digital part is followed by a resonance-free, analog Multimode filter with lowpass, Bandpass and Highpass characteristics and an equally analog overdrive. All settings, including the selected algorithm, can be saved in 99 presets and recalled. A special drone mode transforms the Percussion module into an obscure oscillator/noise source that can be used as the basis for your own, more complex drum sounds or drone sessions. Each of the six sound-relevant controls has its own control voltage input. What's really cool is that a CV input has also been provided for recalling the presets. With a matching programmed CV track, you can call up a different Preset for each drum trigger. The drums are primarily triggered at the trigger input; there is a Accent input to emphasize individual triggers.
