The LXR-02 from Erica Synths is a digital drum synthesizer with sequencer, which was developed in close collaboration with Sonic Potions with Erica Synths. The compact device in a beautiful aluminum case pulls out all the stops sonically. Each of the six tracks can be adjusted in detail with over 30 parameters, covering a wide range of (emulated) analog drums, countless sounds with a hard industrial character and those sounds that are best described as "artifact-rich chaos sounds". The synthesis is composed of VA (virtual analog) and FM elements and can be modulated in a complex way. Envelopes, LFOs and
In addition, each track has a resonant multimode filter and insert effects such as eg. Bitcrusher or Wavefolder. There is also a master effects processor that can handle flanger and delay, among other things. The sequencer is programmable over four bars (64 steps), masters substeps, other timing resolutions and live intervention options that will bring the club to the boil. Besides the wide sound palette, drum kit morphing is definitely one of the highlights of this instrument. The four audio outputs can be defined as stereo pairs or freely assignable individual outputs as desired. Thanks to the extensive MIDI implementation, the drum machine can also be fully controlled eg. by a DAW. With the analog clock and reset on outputs, the LXR-02 can also be synchronized with a modular system.
