The Gesture Controller Voice Card for the Erica Synths Bullfrog and Bullfrog XL transforms the synthesizer into an infrared theremin. The Voice Card has two sensors that determine the distance to the hand and generate a control voltage from this. As soon as the module is plugged in, the pitch and VCA/VCF sensors are internally routed to the VCO pitch and VCA level/VCF cutoff parameters of the Bullfrog (XL). The built-in pitch quantizer is a useful function and (if required) can hit notes of the common 12-tone scale. If the quantizer is switched off, the pitch is modulated continuously. The pitch range for the sensor can be switched between 1V, 3V and 5V. There is also a toggle switch (EG Gate) that generates a gate from the gestures on the VCA sensor and passes this on to the two envelopes. The evaluated voltages for Pitch and VCA are also available as control voltages and can be used anywhere in Patch.
