The Epiphone Mastertone Bowtie Open Back Banjo at a glance
With traditional design appointments from the fifties and sixties, the Epiphone Mastertone Bowtie Open Back 5-String Banjo is a successful recreation of the famous models from Gibson. The instrument, which is equally suitable for clawhammer and scruggs-style players, has an 11" mahogany body without a resonator which, in combination with a high-quality Remo Fiberskyn head, gives it a percussive sound with an astonishingly open and direct response. The back of the mahogany neck also has a classic design, with a pronounced C-profile that creates the best playing conditions. Last but not least, the visual refinements in the form of mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays and the famous Gibson Crown headstock inlay follow the unique bowtie charm of the legendary model.
