Electro acoustic jumbo guitar with solid spruce top, maple body, cutaway, 648 mm scale length and Fishman Presys pickup system
The J-200 EC Studio VS is based on a classic Gibson luthier's design, which was first introduced in 1937: Due to the large jumbo body, the J-200 EC Studio VS produces the typical warm and voluminous sound that has already made the original world-famous. Finally this "guitar bass miracle" is available at a reasonable price.
Equipped with a maple body and a solid spruce top, this instrument can produce extremely full basses, warm mids and a balanced overtone spectrum. In contrast to the original, the J-200 EC Studio VS is already equipped with the Fishman Presys pickup system and is therefore suitable for the stage. A built-in tuner guarantees the harmonic exchange with band colleagues. Last but not least, this super jumbo with MOP Crown Inlays in the fretboard and a floral pickguard is a real feast for the eyes.
The Epiphone J-200 EC Studio VS at a glance:
Electro-acoustic Jumbo
Ideal for powerful vocal accompaniment
Solid spruce top and body made of maple for a warm and powerful sound
Gold-plated Grover tuners for tuning stability
Fishman Presys pickup for a natural amplified sound
Nice look with MOP Crown inlays in the fretboard and floral pickguard
This Epiphone EJ-200SCE is a truly beautiful guitar that is very comfortable to play. The build quality is good (crown inlays, moustache bridge, Grover tuners etc.), the finish is beautiful, and feel is excellent. It comes set up from factory with D'addario phosphor bronze light strings.
Acoustically the jumbo body brings out a deep and rich sound. The shadow pre-amp has both a magnetic pickup as on electric guitars and a piezo pickup for acoustics. Both pickups can be balanced with each other or be used separately. Plugged or unplugged this guitar is worth the price and I am very happy I got it.
Also, what's not to love, that the guitar is checked, adjusted and tuned by Music Store before shipping.

Beautiful looking guitar, lovely mellow sound, although for a jumbo guitar, not a lot of volume on the bass side.quality build. Overall very pleased. Unfortunately the guitar I received, was different from the one I ordered, as it came equipped with a Fishman Presys, pickup/ pre-amp, rather than the Esonic2 as advertised.
This is a great looking guitar and it sounds as good as it looks. The finish on this guitar is beautiful and it plays really good. Haven’t tried it plugged in yet as it’s loud enough without.
This Guitar is very well put together and produces a lovely tone. It also represents excellent value for money compared with other considerably more expensive brands. It’s also a thing of beauty and is finished to a high standard as well as being a great musical instrument. Highly recommended.
