Epiphone J-200 EC Studio BK Jumbo Flat-Top Electro-Acoustic Guitar
The Epiphone J-200 EC Studio BK is a jumbo acoustic guitar with a stereo pick-up system. Based on a classic guitar design by Gibson, first introduced in 1937 - The Superjumbo SJ-200 - the Epiphone J-200 EC Studio BK range offers the sound and playability of these gargantuan guitars at a fraction of the price. Due to the large jumbo body, the J-200 EC Studio BK produces the typical warm and voluminous sound which has already helped the original to achieve world fame.
Equipped with a Maple body and a solid Spruce top, this instrument can produce extremely full basses, warm mids and a balanced overtone spectrum. In contrast to the original, the J-200 EC Studio BK is already equipped with the eSonic pick-up and therefore suitable for stage use, even including a built-in tuner. If that isn’t enough to tickle your fancy, this Super Jumbo is a real feast for the eyes with Mother of Pearl Crown inlays on the fingerboard and a floral pickguard.
The main features of the Epiphone J-200 EC Studio BK include:
6-String Jumbo Electro-Acoustic Guitar
Body: Select Maple & Solid Spruce Top
Neck: Hard Maple
Fingerboard: Pau Ferro
Pickup: Fishman Presys
Bridge: Classic "Moustache"
Tuners: Grover Rotomatic
Hardware: Gold
Finish: Black
Epiphone J-200 EC Studio BK Acoustic Guitar (Microphone Play Test)
This Epiphone EJ-200SCE is a truly beautiful guitar that is very comfortable to play. The build quality is good (crown inlays, moustache bridge, Grover tuners etc.), the finish is beautiful, and feel is excellent. It comes set up from factory with D'addario phosphor bronze light strings.
Acoustically the jumbo body brings out a deep and rich sound. The shadow pre-amp has both a magnetic pickup as on electric guitars and a piezo pickup for acoustics. Both pickups can be balanced with each other or be used separately. Plugged or unplugged this guitar is worth the price and I am very happy I got it.
Also, what's not to love, that the guitar is checked, adjusted and tuned by Music Store before shipping.

Beautiful looking guitar, lovely mellow sound, although for a jumbo guitar, not a lot of volume on the bass side.quality build. Overall very pleased. Unfortunately the guitar I received, was different from the one I ordered, as it came equipped with a Fishman Presys, pickup/ pre-amp, rather than the Esonic2 as advertised.

This is a great looking guitar and it sounds as good as it looks. The finish on this guitar is beautiful and it plays really good. Haven’t tried it plugged in yet as it’s loud enough without.

This Guitar is very well put together and produces a lovely tone. It also represents excellent value for money compared with other considerably more expensive brands. It’s also a thing of beauty and is finished to a high standard as well as being a great musical instrument. Highly recommended.
