Epiphone Casino (Vintage Sunburst) 6-String Archtop Electric Guitar
The Epiphone Casino (Vintage Sunburst) is a 6-string Archtop Electric Guitar, which has been one of the classics of Blues and Rock’n’Roll since its introduction in 1961. This thinline hollow-body Electric Guitar is made according to a traditional recipe and has a body made of Maple laminate with a curved top. Its F-holes, even when played unamplified, present a classic semi-resonance character. 2x in-house P-90 pick-ups with a traditional Dog-ear mounting strap provide a present sound with vocal character and dynamic depth through the amplifier. A SlimTaper D neck profile (inspired by 1960s models) means the Epiphone Casino has the well-known playing feel of traditional Epiphone instruments, with slim shaping right up to the high registers of the 22-flush Pau Ferro fingerboard.
The main features of the Epiphone Casino (Vintage Sunburst) include:
The Epiphone Casino may be Chinese made, but they have certainly improved over the last few years. This plays and looks superb, I was not expecting such a good acoustic output. For the price it is amazing. Do like the thin neck, it's easy on the hands, especially as you get older, doesn't require too much pressure for clean chord sounds anywhere on the neck. All in all, a surprisingly good guitar for its price range. Top marks to this one.
My second Casino. Always regretted selling the first. Stunning looking guitar with great sound and versatility. Minimal setup required out of the box but never had a guitar that didn’t need a tweak. The fit and finish are excellent. Great service from DV247.
