With the Golden Master pedal from Endorphin.es, the Eurorack specialist of the same name for pressure and thrust is now also available as a desktop device. The function range of the multiband processor consists of EQ, compressor and enhancer. This makes the Golden Master pedal ideal as the last link in the signal path for live acts and User with a focus on hardware, as the intervention options bring all signals up to level and glue together what belongs together. The compressor works in three frequency ranges, which are tuned with a higher-level Threshold, ultimately the signal is kept in check with a Brickwall-Limiter. The EQ is more like the way a DJ mixer works. The enhancer is a midband and sideband processor that imparts a clearer and more present character to the signal. The Golden Master has a true stereo signal path, with audio input 1 normalized to input 2 to also handle mono signals at the input. Internally, the desktop unit works with 24 bit / 96 kHz signal conversion and 12dB input gain, insofar there is plenty of headroom.
