With the new Elite Acoustics Stompmix X6, the American manufacturer Elite Acoustics expands its range to include a comprehensive acoustic guitar preamp that, with its numerous setting options and connections, is hard to beat in terms of versatility. A sturdy housing and an integrated lithium-iron-phosphate battery (LiFePO4) also allow for comfortable outdoor use with a usage time of 4-6 hours.
Thanks to its large number of different connections, the Elite Acoustics Stompmix X6 allows for a multifaceted range of applications that can mix an entire setup, not just one instrument like other floor pedals. A 48 volt phantom power supply also allows the connection of microphones that require a separate power supply and can be applied to the first 4 channels at the touch of a button.
The first and second channels each feature two 6.3 mm sockets that can be used optionally as instrument or line inputs and one XLR socket (female) each for microphones. A push-button activates or deactivates the respective jack. A volume control and a PAD switch that can reduce the input signal allow precise adjustment of the respective channel volume.
Channel 3 and channel 4 are each equipped with a 6.3 mm jack socket and an XLR socket (female), which can be used optionally, and have a volume pot and a PAD switch, so that individual volume adjustment is possible here as well.
Channels 5 and 6 are suitable for instruments with stereo signal and have an input socket for small 3.5 mm stereo jacks.
All 6 channels can be enriched with a chorus, delay and reverb effect each with separate switches, which are indicated via a high-quality LED display. A noise gate and compressor function can also be set individually for each channel, reducing the likelihood of feedback and clean signal processing. The effects and other functions can be edited and differentiated via push buttons. A Bluetooth function that can be activated at the touch of a button allows tracks to be played from a smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth devices.
Thanks to a variety of outputs, the Stompmix X6 can be connected either to another mixer, a recording device, or via midi to a midi keyboard or other midi devices.
Two XLR sockets (male) allow for a balanced stereo output signal on the one hand, or the connection to an amplifier, a recording device, or active speaker cabinets on the other.
A separately adjustable AUX-out with two 6.3 mm jack sockets sends a stereo signal, for example, to a mixing console, a recording device, or to active speaker cabinets.
In addition, headphones can be connected via a 3.5 mm jack socket.
The integrated lithium-phosphate battery is a novelty in the technology used so far by Elite Acoustics. It not only allows for a longer usage time of 4-6 hours, but also has a longer life span and is more environmentally friendly in its disposal than other batteries. The battery is charged via the accompanying 12-volt power supply unit.
