Elektron Analog Heat MKII is an analog stereo sound processor with eight stereo distortions, analog filters and equalizers. The analog stereo circuits provide quick access to a varied and powerful sound design. Each circuit has an unmistakable way of sound processing. So clean boost, tape-like saturation, tube amplification, overdrive, crunch, distortion, harmonic fuzz or high amplification are created in nu.
Whether the material should be dazzling brilliance, or dirty roughness instilled depends entirely on your own taste and the particular situation. Samplers, drum machines, synthesizers, the master bus, or whatever you want to edit, you can control the dose from light heating to audio destruction with Analog Heat MKII. Race any sound through the Analog Heat and try out the eight different analog distortion circuits and their effect on the material. The signal can then be post-processed with analog filters and an EQ, allowing beautiful new soundscapes to unfold. Analog Heat brings new life to your equipment collection.
Analog Heat MKII can serve as a 2in 2out audio interface while the effects work. A perfect tool for the traveling musician and sound tinkerer with the demand for a high-resolution audio interface.
Bought this to enhance/destroy sounds from my analogue gear. So far so good, turns all sounds into either something sweet or filthy with the turn of a few buttons. Definitely recommend 👌🏻
I’m an Elektron fan - they’ve done some fantastic stuff to allow me to come back from my early days in midi and analog in the late 80s that died in creativity with the move to PCs and DAWs. Really expressive and well thought out gear. The analog heat is something else - I didn’t really know I needed it. Been running a Soma Pulsar 23 through it which already has a beautifully raw and unique sound - the heat has just bought countless more dimensions. I wonder what it can do to my old Virus Ti Snow... I think I know... I’m going to be using this a lot. Expensive but the end results if you tinker are unavailable anywhere else (certainly out of the box). If you can afford it and are wanting to breath new life into any outboard gear - don’t hesitate - you will not regret it. Sell something else. Buy this. Ps I’m not affiliated in any way with Elektron. This is actually their best creation IMO.
Originally wanted a stereo analogue overdrive pedal but what you get with this is so much more. Very easy and fun to mould/characterize your sound but also feel like I haven't yet scratched the surface of what it can fully do. Rather pricey but well made and can make anything sound great.
