The Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man Tap Tempo 500ms Guitar Effects Pedal builds upon the Deluxe Memory Man (a benchmark for sweet, organic, analogue delay and modulation) with the addition of Tap Tempo, Expression Control and an Effects Loop.
The Deluxe Memory Man w/Tap 1100mS is, however, only occasionally available and subject to Electro Harmonix’s ability to find the very rare NOS IC's it requires hence the introduction of the Deluxe Memory Man 550-TT. It shares all the powerful features of the 1100mS unit, except for its longer delay time.
550 stands for its maximum delay time in milliseconds and that's the same spec as the classic Deluxe Memory Man. Tap Tempo guarantees you're always in sync with the groove, wherever a performance (or your rhythm section) takes you. Five Tap Divide subdivisions deliver rhythmic variation while an Expression Pedal input provides real-time player control over Blend, Rate, Depth, Feedback and Delay. The FX Loop lets you insert effects into your wet signal without changing your dry signal.
Sure to be prized by serious aficionados of lush delay and modulation, the new Deluxe Memory Man 550-TT leads the way to analogue perfection.

Its simple, the best delay ever!!
I have a lot of delay pedals from different brands, but the Deluxe Memory Man is really the best, the sound is fantastic! You can not store sounds like other delays, you dont have the reverse delay, ping pong and other things, but for me when i bought it my feeling was like, "wow, i dont need anything more!"
The sound is unbelievable!!
The most incredible and simple delay on the market. Its astoneshing, the sound is completely pure, and it gives you all you need to do every delay tipe you want .. The modulation is another plus point, and you can Play some pink floyd Stuff very easy, also have an built in effects loop with a Nice construction, whish gives a Nice quality sound. Perfect choice!
The sound of this unit is amazing. I believe it still has the Panasonic chips in it, which make the trails degrade in the most beautiful way.
I use it with an expression pedal controlling the blend with 2 o’clock feedback and it is an awesome performance tool.
Totally prefer it over the Deluxe Memory Boy, which has darker repeats to my ears. But this is a matter of taste so keep an open mind!
