The ESP LTD Mick Thomson MT-I Obsidian Metallic is an electric guitar designed for none other than Slipknot's Number #7, which clearly sets the tone in the field of blistering metal riffs. Accordingly, the electric guitar from the ESP Artist Signature Series offers some unique features and shines with unbeatable playability, razor-sharp sounds and its stunning Obsidian Metallic look. While the ergonomically designed body is based on the popular MH and is made of mahogany and an arched top made of white ash, the neck, which is connected by a set-thru construction, offers a slender Thin-U profile for unhindered playing up to the 24th fret. On the sound side, on the other hand, a Fishman Fluence Mick Thomson humbucker in the bridge position is specially tailored to Mick Thomson's needs. Voice 1, Voice 1 with BassBoostShift and Voice 2 are available via the three toggle positions, while the push/pull function of the volume control switches to Voice 3. Absolute functionality is ensured by six Hipshot Grip-Lock tuners with a practical clamping function and a resonant Hipshot High Mass Bridge, while the two Gotoh Locking Strap Pins guarantee secure stage performances.
The ESP LTD Mick Thomson MT-I Obsidian Metallic is the weapon of choice for Slipknot's Mick Thomson.
