With the ESP E-II Horizon NT-II See Thru Black Cherry Sunburst ESP presents a Japanese-made electric guitar that is made for fashionable rock and metal. The classic Horizon design with a continuous Thin-U maple neck offers unhindered playability up to the high registers of the 24-fret ebony fingerboard, while split EMG 57TW and EMG 66TW humbuckers on the amplifier provide juicy and varied sounds. Last but not least, high-quality Gotoh hardware completes ESP's E-II Horizon NT-II See Thru Black Cherry Sunburst.
As a modern electric guitar for rock and metal, the ESP E-II Horizon NT-II naturally offers first-class playability. Responsible for this is the full-length, three-piece maple neck, on whose Thin-U profile even the most complex riffs and virtuosic solos almost play themselves. So that the orientation is not lost, chic offset block inlays mark the layers on the ebony fingerboard. A visual highlight is furthermore the wölkchen maple top on the mahogany body wings.
The pickups on the E-II Horizon NT-II are two active EMG humbuckers with precious Metalworks caps. With its combination of Alnico magnets and steel pole pieces, the EMG 57TW at the bridge delivers a powerful sound that gives riffs and solos an enormous punch with its high midrange presence. The EMG 66TW on the neck, on the other hand, convinces with its warm yet transparent sound, which is made for singing melodies and glassy clean sounds. Both pickups also convince with a particularly organic dynamic, which is in no way inferior to passive pickups. Push-pull switches in the Volume and Tone controls also let you split the EMG pickup, so that bell-clear single-coil sounds expand the sound spectrum.
In addition, the E-II Horizon NT-II from ESP offers a first-class hardware equipment from Gotoh. A Gotoh Tune-O-Matic bridge is used on the body, which guarantees perfect intonation and optimal string action. At the same time, the strings are routed through the body behind the bridge, ensuring a high contact pressure on the tailpieces, which supports the fast response of the electric guitar. From the bridge the strings with 25.5" scale length (648 mm) are guided towards the classic ESP Pointed Headstock, where Gotoh MG-T locking tuners promise precise tuning and fast string changes.
