The history of the JH "HET" set began in the spring of 2009 when Rob Turner of Hetfield was confronted with the challenge of designing a special pickup Set with the aggressive punch and clarity of a passive humbucker as well as the powerful sound of active pickups. Rob accepted.
In the neck position, the JH-N provides a good output and attack, not least thanks to a wider coil body than a classic EMG 60. At the bridge, the JH-B also provides an aggressive sound with a tight and tidy bass range.
