Near field precision monitor
The Dynaudio BM12 mkIII Active Studio Monitor (Single) is an active studio monitor that sports an extended excursion 8” woofer and a 1.1” soft dome tweeter, both with aluminium voice coils. The lightweight aluminium design allows the drivers to move with greater ease and therefore react more quickly to incoming signals. This means the transient response of the BM12 MKIII is phenomenally fast and provides accurate and detailed reproduction.
The BM12 MKIII has a maximum SPL of 123dB and a frequency response of 38Hz-21kHz, greater than a lot of the completion in this class. The cabinet is made from 18mm MDF and has a rear-firing bass reflex port. The BM12 MKIII is powered by a 100W LF and 50W HF Class D amplifier (with a DSP crossover at 1500Hz) mounted in the back panel. There is also room correction EQ and level controls, as well as 60/80Hz high pass filters for marrying with a subwoofer. The Dynaudio BM12 MKIII inputs on balanced XLR.
The main features of the Dynaudio BM12 mkIII Active Studio Monitor (Single) include:
Frequency Response: (+/- 3 dB) 38Hz - 21kHz
Input level for 85 dB SPL @1m -14dBu RMS @ 0dB setting
I do music. Earlier in my work I used the "Dynaudio bm6a". This is a good monitor. They can be a long listen and not get tired. But I thought low-mid sounds a bit harsh. Buying "Dynaudio bm 12mk III" i was hoping that I would get almost the same sound, but with a more balanced sound at low frequencies. When connected to "RME UFX", I got exactly the sound that they dream of. Silky bass, airy top. I am very happy. I recommend !
