The Dreadbox Utopia is an analog tool for editing, mixing and generating signals, and is part of the Chromatic Modules series. The upper part of the module is primarily a quadruple attenuator, channel 3 functions as an offset generator with an adjustment range of +/- 10 volts without an applied signal. Channel 4 is the internal LFO, which is output via output 4. The four outputs of the attenuators are normalized to the four inputs of the mixer, these connections can be cancelled by plugging in a cable and the mixer can thus operate autonomously. In addition, the mixer has three parallel outputs, which makes it a practical signal distributor. One of the outputs is normalized to the "Pulserizer", this acts as a distortion unit and forms a square wave from each signal. The time range of the LFO is between 30 seconds and 440 hertz.
