Electro-acoustic western guitar, Grand Auditorium construction, solid spruce top, Macassar ebony body, pickup system, open-pore finish.
With the Danubius GAE-s the Slovakian manufacturer Dowina extends its Antique series with a semi-solid acoustic guitar in Grand Auditorium design which is versatile due to its construction and specifications. Thanks to its open-pored finish and a solid spruce top, the guitar develops a very bright and powerful sound that unfolds quickly and effortlessly. A laminated Macassar ebony body also provides the instrument with expressive and defined bass and enriches the visual appearance with a multi-faceted grain, interspersed with coarse grain. A noble wood binding encircles the high-quality material and forms a tasteful contrast to the woods of the body, whose top is equipped with a transparent pickguard and a Herringbone soundhole rosette matching the top binding. A Nato neck with a fingerboard made of finest ebony in combination with a nut width of 45 mm and a scale length of 650 mm offers very easy playability in all 20 frets, which intonate perfectly due to the conscientious workmanship of a bridge inlay and a nut made of bone. Chrome-plated die-cast tuners adorn the eye-catching head plate which is decorated with the initial "D" of the manufacturer and allow the player to tune the strings easily and precisely. The Dowina Danubius GAE-s is completed with a high quality Fishman Presys+ pickup system, which also enhances the acoustic sound.
