Electro acoustic guitar in grand auditorium design with cutaway, solid cedar top, Macassar ebony body
The Danubius GACE extends the Slovakian manufacturer Dowina's Antique series. It is a partly solid acoustic guitar in Grand Auditorium design, which is highly versatile due to its construction and specifications. Thanks to its open-pored finish and solid cedar top, the guitar develops a very warm and powerful sound that unfolds quickly and effortlessly. The laminated Macassar ebonybody enhances the sound with expressive and defined bass and enriches the visual appearance with its multi-faceted grain, which is interspersed with a coarse marbling. A noble wood binding frames the high-quality material and forms a tasteful contrast to the woods of the body, whose top is fitted with a transparent pickguard and a Herringbone soundhole rosette matching the top binding. The Nato neck with a fretboard made of finest ebony in combination with the cutaway, a nut width of 45 mm and a scale length of 650 mm offers excellent playability in all 20 frets, which intonate perfectly due to the meticulous workmanship of the saddle and the bone nut. Chrome-plated die-cast tuners adorn the eye-catching headstock, which is decorated with the manufacturer's initial "D", and enable the player to tune the strings easily and precisely. The Dowina Danubius GACE is completed with a high quality Fishman Presys+ pickup system, which allows the acoustic sound to be fully accentuated even when amplified.
