Dowina Danubius D12-S (Natural)

With the Danubius D12-ds, the Slovakian manufacturer Dowina completes its affordable Antique series with a traditional dreadnought acoustic guitar that delivers a powerful sound.

Structure

A sturdy body with a solid spruce top enriches the sound with clear treble frequencies that unfold perfectly and rapidly thanks to a wafer-thin open-pore finish. The instrument owes the essential depth in the basses to a laminated Macassar ebony body, which also shapes the visual appearance with its coarse structures and inclusions in a very aesthetic way.

Woods and hardware

For high playability, the manufacturer uses a slim nato neck with an ebony fingerboard and a nut width of 47 mm and a scale length of 650 mm for an easy and clean grip. For a clean intonation in all 20 frets, a saddle and a nut made of finest bone material, which are matched to each other with millimetre precision, are used. The Dowina Danubius D12-ds is adorned with elaborate wooden bindings and an eye-catching herringbone soundhole rosette, which is another visual highlight alongside the intial "D" inlaid on the headstock.
