The Doepfer A-138pv is the input module in the Vintage Edition of the Performance Mixer System for modular systems and offers four channels with controls for gain, aux send, panorama, output level as well as a mute switch and a level LED for the input signal. Multiple input modules can be cascaded and combined into a mixer with more inputs that grows with your needs.
Modules instead of mixing console
The A-138pv and A138ov modules together represent a simple performance mixer that is used instead of an external mixer. The A-138pv module is the input module with four channels, while the A-138ov is the output module, which with one or more A-138pv's becomes a mixer with four, eight, twelve etc... inputs can be combined.
Module Layout
The A-138pv Performance Mixer Input provides four identical input channels. At the top we find the input jack with a level LED, but the gain control for adjusting the signal levels is located at the bottom, right next to the mute switch , for practical reasons, and below the input is a potentiometer that adjusts the aux send level. For each channel you can use jumpers to set whether the aux is pre- or post-fader. The next potentiometer determines the panorama position of the respective channel and below it there is a larger potentiometer which determines the output level.
